Dark Cloud Cheats

I've been trying to turn on a few cheats for Dark Cloud 1, I've followed the instructions on 3 different guides on here for how to make the PNACH file, I've made it and put it in the folder with (what I think is) the correct name and when I start the game it says 10 Cheats have been loaded and has something written in bold red (at the bottom of the post because it's long and distracting x.x) in the game they just don't work.
Any idea what's wrong? :/ (Preparing myself for a really obvious mistake)
